Trusted Dog Boarding Services

We’re proud to offer pet boarding to Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and the surrounding areas. We understand how important it is to you that your pet is safe and happy while you’re away, which is why we’re committed to providing the best boarding experience.

When your dog is staying with us, rest assured that he/she will be fully pampered and rested throughout their entire stay. We always ensure they have plenty of playtime and attention, making them feel right at home throughout the whole day. In addition, we are happy to administer special diets and medications if needed - all dogs will receive the absolute best care during their stay at Laughing Dog Inn.

Our boarding staff members are there to ensure your pet has absolutely everything to make his/her stay 100% comfortable. Our staff is fully trained and able to help care for dogs with a range of different temperaments. If you think your dog might have a problem interacting with other dogs, feel free to get in touch with us for a consultation and we’ll be happy to give you our professional opinion.

In addition, we are aware dogs have different needs. While smaller, more sensitive breeds might not enjoy spending too much time out in the sun, others need a lot of exercise and playtime. We make sure to adapt to your dog’s needs, so each dog has the best possible experience while in our care.

We provide daily structure that includes the following schedule:

7:30 am Wake up time. Outside playtime while Breakfast is prepared
8:00 am Breakfast is served. Medications administered.
9:00 - 11:30 am Outside play. Active dogs race, wrestle, leap, climb and jump on playground equipment. Quieter dogs and senior citizens enjoy the sun or shade, lounging about on comfortable cots. On warm days, the pools come out, allowing dogs lots of time for water play. Since the toy breeds are so fragile, a separate area is provided for them. Safety is a priority, particularly for the small ones, and we make sure that they are secure overhead as well.
11:30 am - 12:00 pm Dogs are brought inside to begin their rest period.
12:00 - 2:30 pm Nap time. Soothing music and a climate-controlled room are conductive to helping our doggie guests enjoy a much-needed nap. During nap time, we feed puppies their second meal and give dogs who free feed their bowls of food.
2:30 - 5:30 pm Afternoon playtime outside.
5:30 - 6:00 pm Dinner is served. Medications dispensed.
